A Smoking New One-Sheet for Amazon's Zombieland TV Pilot
Hot on the heels of the first official still from Amazon's "Zombieland" pilot comes the first official teaser poster! Is this a sign that there are some good, funny, and violent things upon the horizon? Let's hope so!
From the Press Release
Amazon Studios, the original movie and series production arm of Amazon.com, announced it will add cult classic Zombieland to the line-up of pilots already in production for Prime Instant Video. Zombieland, which is the seventh comedy pilot added to Amazon’s pilot line-up, will be made available (along with the other six comedy pilots and six children’s pilots) for free on Amazon Instant Video and LOVEFiLM UK. Customers are invited to view the pilots and then review them on the site; customer feedback will help determine which of the 13 pilots Amazon Studios will make into full-season productions, to air on Prime Instant Video.
“Zombieland is a fan favorite and we can’t wait to see where this storyline goes in a serialized format,” said Roy Price, Director of Amazon Studios. “We’ve been announcing a lot of exciting exclusive content for Prime Instant Video, like Downton Abbey, Under the Dome, and Justified; and we think adding original shows to that lineup is going to make Prime even more enticing for customers.”
Zombieland is based on the hit Columbia Pictures movie of the same name and finds four survivors outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home. The Zombieland pilot comes from the feature film’s original creative team, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Joe Schmo Show), and producer Gavin Polone (Gilmore Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) is directing the pilot.
The part of Tallahassee will be played by Kirk Ward (The Island), Maiara Walsh ("Desperate Housewives," "Switched at Birth") is cast as Wichita, Tyler Ross (Milkshake) will play Columbus, and Izabela Vidovic has the role of Little Rock.
“Zombieland will strive to break the rules—action, adventure, thrills, chills and laughs and all packed into a half hour format,” said creator Paul Wernick. “This is not your average show, but Amazon is not your average network.”
Amazon Studios, the original movie and series production arm of Amazon.com, has begun production on six comedy pilots, Alpha House, Browsers, Dark Minions, Onion News Empire, Supanatural and Those Who Can’t. Additionally, six children’s series are also currently in production, including Creative Galaxy, Oz Adventures, Teeny Tiny Dogs, Tumbleaf, Sara Solves It, and The Untitled J.J. Johnson Project.

Bruce Campbell Talks Evil Dead 4 or Army of Darkness 2 or Something Like That
While doing press for the upcoming release of Evil Dead, The Chin, aka Bruce Campbell, had some choice thoughts pertaining to a proper sequel to the original trilogy of films. Read on for the latest.
“The reception to this movie [Fede Alvarez's remake] has been pretty good so far so it encouraged Sam and I to go, ‘Well crap, maybe we should dust the old chainsaw off. If this movie helps us make another Army of Darkness – Army of Darkness 2 – then so be it,” he tells Empire Online.
That being said, Army of Darkness actually has two endings, and Campbell would prefer to take up arms for the alternate one. “I would think the post-apocalyptic [ending] because it gives great possibilities for an Omega Man movie and who he might be fighting against. It would be a very interesting world. But I’m fine either way. I’m sure Sam will concoct some ridiculous story and an outrageous journey so I don’t really care where it starts and ends. The fun thing is working again with Sam Raimi. That’s the only reason to do these incredibly difficult movies - [to] work for a guy who you really like working with and who you respect.”

Two New One-Sheets Highlight the Errors of the Human Body
While we wait for IFC Midnight to release Eron Sheean's indie thriller Errors of the Human Body here in the States, we've managed to dig our claws into two new one-sheets for you cats. Check 'em out!
From the Press Release
IFC Midnight has acquired all North American rights to Eron Sheean’s thriller ERRORS OF THE HUMAN BODY. Sheean wrote the screenplay for the film with Shane Danielsen. The picture stars Germany’s Karoline Herfurth (PERFUME: THE STORY OF A MURDERER, THE READER, WE ARE THE NIGHT), Iceland’s Tómas Lemarquis (NOI THE ALBINO, PAINLESS, SNOW PIERCER), Rik Mayall (THE YOUNG ONES), and Canada’s rising star Michael Eklund (THE DIVIDE, THE DAY, FRINGE, ALCATRAZ) and was produced by Instinctive Film’s Darryn Welch and Cole Payne.
Following a divorce from his wife and the loss of his son to a rare genetic mutation, Canadian geneticist Geoff Burton (Elkund) relocates to the harsh, wintry scenery of Dresden, Germany, to work on a groundbreaking new project that might just be his key to redemption. When teamed up with his former intern and colleague Rebekka (Herfurth), he starts working on a human regenerative gene with direct ties to his personal tragedy; yet, matters prove increasingly difficult: Jealous co-workers’ feelings are ruffled, old flames are rekindled, and personal demons become consistently harder to suppress in this new and oppressive work environment.
Still haunted by the memory of his wife and his failures to save his deceased son, Burton finds himself maddeningly close to a medical breakthrough, yet quickly spiraling out of control. Collapsing his career and personal life into a dark and increasingly dangerous tunnel-vision of competitive genetics, delusions of all kinds, and the terrifying potential of massive discoveries gone awry, Burton is quite literally the stranger in the strange land. The question remains: How far will Burton be willing to go to atone for the errors of his past?

Factory 25 Bringing Us Fresh Horror Tales with Nancy, Please and Silver Bullets
Factory 25 just dropped us a line to let us know they've lined up Andrew Semans' Nancy, Please and Joe Swanberg's Silver Bullets for distribution; and we've got the skinny, artwork, and trailers for both. Dig it!
From the Press Release
Factory 25 has acquired the Tribeca Film Festival film Nancy, Please, a twisted story of obsession and rage directed by Andrew Semans starring Eléonore Hendricks (Bad Fever, Daddy Longlegs and The Dish & the Spoon) and Will Rogers. Nancy, Please tells the story of Paul, a young, gifted, and aimless Yale University student who has just moved in with his girlfriend and is struggling to complete his dissertation before embarking on a career in academia. There’s just one snag: As Paul is unpacking his belongings, he discovers that he has left something behind, and only his obstinate and casually sinister former roommate, Nancy, can give it back to him. Paul contacts Nancy, but she will not cooperate and proceeds to thwart Paul’s clumsy and increasingly frantic efforts to retrieve his property. What should be the simplest of errands becomes intolerably difficult. His annoyance turns to rage and then to obsession. As Paul becomes increasingly consumed with Nancy, he begins to unravel, and his life becomes much, much worse before it gets better. The film premieres theatrically in Chicago on April 5th and in New York on May 24th and will play across the country with screenings continuing through the spring and early summer.
In Silver Bullets, Ethan (Joe Swanberg) is a director who aims to make meaningful art films, but he is struggling with a creative slump and disengagement with his work. His girlfriend, Claire (Kate Lyn Sheil), is an actress whose career is beginning to take off. She has accepted the lead part in a werewolf movie being directed by talented young horror filmmaker Ben (Ti West). Ethan's depression leads to jealousy over both Claire’s success and her increasingly close relationship with Ben. Ethan decides to retaliate against Claire by casting her best friend, Charlie (Amy Seimetz), in a romantic role opposite himself in his new film. As pettiness and jealousy spiral out of control within their relationship, Claire begins to slip into a surreal fantasy world that more closely mirrors her role in the werewolf film than that of her real life.
Largely improvised, Silver Bullets draws inspiration from Chekhov's The Seagull and Roman Polanski's Bitter Moon, while using David Foster Wallace as a reference point to explore fame, depression, and suicide.
