...and as if I wasn't depressed enough about living on the other side of the country and not being able to attend Comic-Con, here's more groovy news from the event. Ain't it Cool News' "Quint" sat in on a panel for the upcoming Tarantino/Rodriguez retro double feature, GRINDHOUSE, where QT let it be known that Kurt Russell will be joining the cast of his installment, DEATH PROOF, playing the muscle car driving killer.

This is cool news and all, but what happened to Mickey Rourke? Up until this weekend, I'd thought he'd already been locked up for the part, but, apparently, the allure of bringing Russell back to the bad ass roles (Snake Plissken anybody?) he abandoned for family fare proved to much to resist.
