Share Your Edgar Allan Poe Memories In Deathly 'Raven' Imagery
If you click right here you'll find our updated image gallery for Relativity Media's The Raven, which arrives in theaters March 9, 2012. The trailer continues to push the game of cat and mouse between an unknown killer and Poe, which can best be described as From Hell meets Sherlock Holmes.
James McTeigue's (V for Vendetta) thriller is set in the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, when he gets wrapped up in a serial killer investigation.
"Luke Evans will play a detective who partners with Poe (Cusack) to search for a serial killer who has kidnapped the author's fiancee (Alice Eve) and has gone on a murder spree that mimics the author's work."

[BD Review] 'Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance 3D' Is A Boring Waste Of Potential
Opening in theaters today is Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance 3D. And I'm pretty much going to tell you that you shouldn't go see it. While it has some promising moments, it's way too satisfied doing way too little.
Stay away unless you're a Neveldine/Taylor or Nic Cage completionist. Or unless you want to see Idris Elba as a drunk French priest. Or unless you want to see Ciaran Hinds kick some ass. Gah! See, I'm listing all these things that kind of work! But they don't. They're just little awesome buoys in a sea of "is this over yet?"
"Its just a shame that the sum of these positive parts doesnt make a compelling whole. When I first heard that Neveldine and Taylor would be doing this movie, I was excited to see what they could do with a bigger budget and how they could subvert the genre. It turns out they did exactly what I expected and still somehow let me down. Perhaps I didnt factor in that they might think it was enough to execute this film in the exact way theyve executed everything else. Only, this time, so much more is put in front of them but they never extend their reach."

Blood Spattered Bride In Beautiful International 'Rec 3' Poster!
Paco Plaza's [REC]3 Genesis is gearing up to open in Spain on March 30th, and will hit HD VOD here in the States sometime thereafter going through the 2012 festival circuit.
In the meantime, Abandoz Moviez has a French poster for the film that's really nice. While I prefer the one Filmax released earlier, with the closeup, this one is no slouch either.
In the film, "Koldo and Clara are about to celebrate the most important day of their lives: their wedding.
Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom and their families are enjoying a wonderful day; that is until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness. Before they know whats happening, the bride and groom find themselves in the middle of a hellish ordeal, as an uncontrollable torrent of violence is unleashed on the wedding.
Amidst the chaos, Koldo and Clara become separated and begin a desperate search for one another. What started off as an idyllic day quickly descends into a nightmare of the worst kind

International Teaser For 'Prometheus' Provides Almost Nothing New
Ridley Scott's Prometheus is certainly one of my most anticipated films of the year. I imagine it's one of yours as well. So while I could watch this new International Teaser a bajlillion times today and still be happy, I'm having a hard time finding any real differences between it and the US teaser released a few months back.
So far all I've got is that it omits the slow, Alien-esque, title reveal from the original teaser.
"Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With 'Prometheus', he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."
In theaters June 8, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Guy Pearce, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Benedict Wong, Emun Elliott, Ben Foster, Patrick Wilson all star.
Hit the jump to check out the new teaser and let me know if you've found any other differences! Doesn't matter how small they are - I'm curious.

There's Literally A 'Kid In The Box' In Twisted Teaser Trailer!
Gabriele Albanesi is back again with a sequel to his pretty insane Italian slasher The Last House in the Woods. Above we've added the official teaser for Kid In the Box, a twisted continuation that delivers everything the title promises.
"The sequel tells the story of the two children who had survived the end of the previous chapter: Giulio the cannibal kid and Andrea the torso kid without legs and arms. The film tells the bloody story of their odyssey through a world that will turn dark and unforgiving."
The actors of this first teaser are the newcomer Rossella Schiuma and the two children Andrea Pittorino and Matteo Pastore. The cinematography in Red Camera is by Davide Manca. At the helm of the special effects is Sergio Stivaletti - here on his third partnership with Albanesi and the music is by Claudio Simonetti (Deep Red, Suspiria, Phenomena) with an original score created specifically for this teaser.

'The Addicted,' Yet Another Found Footage Horror Heading To The Clinic
Director Sean J. Vincent took to his official blog to host production diaries and to let his readers choose the official poster for his UK haunted The Addicted. Empire shares the winning poster that's posted inside.
The site explains that "the haunted-house tale revolves around recovering addicting David, a resident at The Manor rehabilitation unit in 1987 who comes under the twisted care of clinical director Chris Hunter. Instead of nursing David to health, Hunter keeps him hooked, before poisoning him with toxic heroin and leaving him with horrifically scarred. Medical bastard. While the evil director is carrying on with his wife, David kills himself.
Picking up 25 years later, Hunter's daughter Nicole, an aspiring TV journo, makes the not entirely sensible decision to spend the night at the now-derelict clinic, filming the place with her boyfriend."
The only casting I could conjure up is Jenny Gayner.

Dimension Bumps 'Scary Movie 5' To 2013
I know this is going to shock you, but Dimension Films is moving their latest spoof sequel Scary Movie 5 from April 20 to a January 11, 2013 date. The move was expected as David Zucker has yet to go behind the camera. His involvement is still speculation, along with the casting of Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall and Kevin Hart.
No plot details have been revealed, but it would be safe to assume it'll make fun of found footage horror. Too bad Scary Movie star Marlon Wayans took his talents elsewhere and is already doing a found footage spoof entitled Smart Ass. You snooze, you lose.

[Interview]: Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor Talk 'Ghost Rider 2', Punk Rock Filmmaking, 'Crank 3' And What Happened To 'Jonah Hex'!
While you'll have to wait until Friday for my full review of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance 3D, I'll at the very least tell you that it has little in common with its predecessor aside from the title and the casting of Nicolas Cage. It's a completely different aesthetic, so much so that the film is almost in a different genre than the first one.
Most of that has to do with Directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer, Crank 2). Working from a script by David Goyer, they fashion the franchise into something that is unmistakably their own.
"In the successor to the worldwide hit 'Ghost Rider,' Johnny - still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter - is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy - and possibly rid himself of his curse forever."
I recently had a chance to sit down with the two collaborators in a New York City hotel room for a chat over coffee. Their enthusiasm and love for what they do is readily apparent and the conversation flowed freely from the new film to their take on what may have happened with the troubled Jonah Hex to Crank 3, which they hope to have in theaters next year.
Ghost Rider 2: Spirit Of Vengeance 3D hits theaters on February 17th. It stars Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth.

'Intruders' Trailer Introduces Hollow Face
Millennium Entertainment has released the official theatrical trailer for Intruders, the super weak genre film arriving in theaters March 30. We caught it at last September's TIFF and was not a fan (read the review).
Starring Clive Owen, Daniel Brühl, Carice Van Houten, Pilar López de Ayala, Ella Purnell, Izan Corchero and Kerry Fox, the faux (I mean this literally) supernatural thriller was directed by 28 Weeks Later helmer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.
"Though no one can see him, Hollow Face lurks in the corners, desperately desiring love but only knowing how to spread fear and hate. He creeps into the life of John Farrow (Clive Owen) after Farrows beloved 13-year-old daughter Mia (Ella Purnell) is assaulted in their home. The line between the real and the imaginary blurs as fissures start to open within the family unit. It seems that no security measure can keep Hollow Face out."
Meet Hollow Face in the below trailer.
