From director Justin Price, and starring Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts, and Rachele Brooke Smith, comes a new exorcism flick, The Cloth, which will be for sale at the upcoming Berlin market. With the official website launched, we've also landed the official sales art that looks quite similar to Lionsgate's The Last Exorcism. " 'The Cloth' is a horror \ action-sci-fi thriller centered on a secret organization formed by the Catholic Church to counteract the rising cases of demonic possessions across the country. With the arrival of the Devils General Kasdeya on earth, the members of the Cloth have only seven days to stop the crossover of the ultimate evil into our realm. To stop Beelzebubs arrival, their mission depends on Jason (Kyler Willett), a young godless man, to lead the next generation of Cloth members before the Devil and his armies walk the earth."
File this one under Pacific Heights territory. Sharon Stone is back in sexual thriller territory, signing on to star in Attachment, the latest movie from American History X director Tony Kaye, reports THR. In Attachment, written by Christopher Denham, "Stone will play a married woman who has a one-night stand with a student. The indiscretion comes back to haunt her when the lover begins to date her daughter and stalk her family." An April start is being eyed. Stone became a sensation in the early 1990s with her provocative roles in such movies as Basic Instinct and Sliver.
The "Revolution" is getting closer to being televised. TV Line reports that NBC has given the green light to the hour-long thriller penned by "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke and exec produced by J.J. Abrams (Cloverfield, Let Me In) and Bryan Burk. The project is described as a "high-octane action drama that follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist." Sounds like an idea that spawned during the filming of the "Lost" finale. In other news, inside you'll find a new clip from ABC's "The River", a new series from Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli. "The River"'s 8-episode Season 1 debuts February 7th, 2012.
