NSFW ‘Moebius’ Clip Stabs a Dude In His Dick (Exclusive)

bloody disgusting - Fri, 08/29/2014 - 10:43

If you can watch this clip without puking, you’re a better man than I…

RAM Releasing’s fucking crazy Moebius (read our review), the latest from acclaimed Korean director Kim Ki-Duk (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…and Spring), opens in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago throughout August (details below), and will be available to audiences nationwide via cable and digital VOD TODAY.

We’re pumping you up for the absolutely bonkers movie with this exclusive clip, one that will have you holding your crotch in pain. This is definitely vicious and NOT WORK SAFE!

When she catches her husband having an affair, a woman attempts to castrate the cheater for his wrongdoing. Unsuccessful, she instead inflicts the unspeakable act on her own son, setting off a series of grotesque yet provocative events ranging from a hurried genital transplant to pain-inflicted orgasms that all merge in a continuous thread of delirious storytelling. With both husband and son damaged and living in grief, the wife returns as the family heads towards destruction even more horrific than before.

Kim Ki-Duk, whose signature style pushes the limits of challenging filmmaking and often blows right through them, won the Golden Lion with Pieta at the Venice Film Festival last year. The prolific director is set to shock audiences again with Moebius, his latest perverse statement on family tensions, sexual boundaries and society’s issues with each.

The platform theatrical release sees Moebius opening in Los Angeles on August 8 (at The Cinefamily), New York City on August 15 (at Cinema Village) and Chicago on August 22 (at Facets). On August 29, the film becomes available on cable VOD at all major providers (Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Verizon, et al) and digital VOD at iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play, Vudu, Xbox, Playstation, Rovi and Samsung Hub.

In addition, we have (1) official poster signed by star Lee Eun-woo for you to enter to win. All you have to do is put MOEBIUS in the subject line and then send your FULL NAME and address to submit@bloody-disgusting.com. Winers chosen at random. No PO Boxes. US only.

Who Will Play Snake Plissken In ‘Escape From New York’

bloody disgusting - Fri, 08/29/2014 - 10:43

While most remakes don’t make a lick of sense, I’m actually intrigued and excited for the modern day take on John Carpenter’s Escape From New York, especially after what’s been going on in Ferguson. The fear of a police state is a growing concern in this country, and social commentary makes a film that much better (see Night of the Living Dead).

Assuming this long-gestured reboot gets off the ground, who may play the new Snake Plissken?

Pacific Rim‘s Charlie Hunnam, “The Walking Dead’s” Jon Bernthal and The Guest‘s Dan Stevens, pictured below, top Silver Pictures’ wishlist, according to Starlog. This means that no offers have been made, and that Silver hopes to land one of these three growing stars. Hunnam is said to be their top choice, but is my least favorite of the bunch. Frankly, I always thought Bernthal was the only thing good in “The Walking Dead” – and Stevens is just coming off an extremely badass role in Adam Wingard’s The Guest.

Something cool that may end up in the feature is that “Snake’s past will be seen in brief glimpses throughout the film, blending into his reality via Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder,” says a source to the site.

And although Snake is the protagonist, there will be a team aspect to this new version:

“Plissken’s team consists of Mina, a warzone journalist framed for murder and living in the shadows of New York as a scavenger; Cabbie, a schizophrenic travel guide who serves as comic relief; Gareth, the last surviving member of the President’s security detail who harbors a dangerous secret; and The Brain, Plissken’s former partner-in-crime who left him to die after a botched robbery.”

There’s still no director attached, so I’d say this is seriously premature news and I wouldn’t put any weight into it. But it is fun to imagine Shane blasting through a dark and rotting New York…
